Again, searching for inspirations, listening to songs, look at things that I found interesting (a tree, a painting, weird people, or whatever), try to draw but failed, and watching movies to sooth my nerves.
You know you are being inspired when you have that 'feeling' and it always comes to your mind, and somewhat influenced your thinking by expressing it either through art or clothing. I love people dressing up expressing their own originality, because some copycats usually wear something that came straight from a fashion magazine and look very 'typical'. I believe that we can only do that if we have an inspiration.
I tried to ignore the theme so that I would not feel 'constricted' by the law of fashion. So 2 weeks earlier, my house mates and I (were unintentionally) went to the funfair nearby. There was a band singing some old, romantic, quite vintage songs and I was suddenly felt inspired. The colourful lights and the joy of some kids running around creates a new environment for me. New feeling.

Romance
Reminded me of the movie "the notebook" from the scene where Noah was asking Allie out.
Intense Romance
Then a few days after, the word 'matador' kept playing in my head. I know that this is seriously out of our main focus for the theme, but the matador had given me the idea of romance and the feeling of admiration.
During the semester break, I found out that the famous professional bullfighter is one of the richest man in the world. The performance must be done correctly with the right postures and gestures to create the art of 'taming the beast' with such poise. If associated with salsa, it gives you the intense romance feel in it.
Dark Romance
There was a guy who was very famous with portraying dark romance and bondage in every of his designs. And speaking of bullfight, I remember that this guy did a good job with his RTW Spring/Summer 2002 collection (his first!) entitled "The Dance of The Twisted Bull".
He is... Alexander McQueen (RIP)
p/s-none of these are really what I'll portray at the dinner tomorrow. I'm just going simple.
